The Georgia state affiliate is a branch of the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM). The Georgia affiliate provides individuals the opportunity to build a professional network and community, enact change in the local and national government, and foster a more healthy and equitable society.

To become a member of the affiliate, and enjoy all perks of membership, individuals must first be an active member of the ACNM national organization. Membership to the ACNM national organization comes with many benefits, such as access to the scholarly publication, “Journal of Midwifery & Women’s Health,” midwifery job postings, and profound discussions and debates on the internal communication network – ACNM Connect.

Once an active member of the ACNM national organization, individuals can opt to additionally be a member of the Georgia affiliate.

It is free to participate in the affiliate meetings, and all are welcome to participate in any special events or seminars. However, only members can vote on agenda items, serve on the Board of Directors, or be Committee Chairs. If you are interested in becoming a leader in your midwifery community, being a positive force in change, or be more involved in general – becoming a member is an excellent choice for you!
